- The Florida Panthers fell to the Boston Bruins last night, making the Carolina Hurricanes the last undefeated team in the NHL.
- With Nino Niederreiter seemingly absent for a while, it looks like Seth Jarvis can finally fit into the lineup. It will be interesting to see how he behaves and even more to see which line he ends up on.
- The Hurricanes last faced the Coyotes on February 7, 2020 (5-3V) and have won the last three meetings between the two clubs.
- The Canes are 2-1-1 in Halloween games since their move.
- Whichever goaltender plays for Carolina on Sunday is going to be a big step. Frederik Andersen is one game away from his 400th and Antti Raanta is one game from his 200th.
- The special teams battle could see this game spiraling out of control as the Coyotes rock the league’s worst penalty kick to just over 50% success and the league’s second-worst power play, only better than the Vegas Golden Knights who have yet to score on the men’s advantage.
